SURPRISE!

First I need to apologize for not posting for the past week! I really don't have a good excuse other that just haven't gotten to it. So I will try to catch up!
This first pick is for Grancie, she wanted to see the entrance to the apartment after all the decorations were up! It turned out super cute, although I'm going to have to get some new mums by the time Thanksgiving gets here. But those mums were from my MawMaw's funeral and so it will be hard to get rid of those.
The rest of the pictures are of Peter's surprise party! It was so much fun and Peter didn't have a clue what was going on! When we pulled up in the parking lot Peter saw Josh's truck...and all I keep thinking was, shoot I didn't think about this! So I played dumb! Peter said, "oh look Josh's truck"...I didn't reply. Then all the sudden I acted shocked and said oh right beside us! Peter came to the conclusion that Josh was having dinner and that he was going to call when he was done to come by and see Jackson...I went along with whatever he said! Peter knew that we were meeting Sharon and Jarrod for dinner and so I just told him they had already gotten a table. We walked into the back of the restaurant and Peter was completely shocked! He had no idea that I had been planning this (although I planned it on Friday!) and it was the greatest thing ever!

All together there were 20 of us. We all enjoyed dinner and visiting with each other! Peter sat in the middle so that he could visit with everyone.

This is Sharon and Jarrod. Sharon helped me get everything together for that night! Jackson loves Sharon...which so do I!...she helps me so much at the games! And encourages me when I'm having a hard day at being a coaches wife!

Peter did get a dessert. I don't know how to spell this thing, but it is a cookie that they bake and serve straight out of the oven! Peter did share with me...it is my favorite dessert...that I can get at a restaurant!

Jonathon and Bridget got to come be apart of the surprise. I don't remember if it was right before and right after the picture but...I promised them that Jackson would spit up because he had sweet potatoes and applesauce. Wellll...he did spit up! but it just got on his bib...oops!

This was one table...Sharon, Jarrod, Stephanie, Seth, Bridget, and Jonathon

Here was the other table...Jill, Josh, Rod, Dana, Daph, Caleb, Camden, Carson, Steph, and Lance...Rodney and Claire were also sitting there but that had to head out early!
We had a great time and I'm so thankful that we have so many friends that love and care for us!
Since then nothing earth shattering has happened. I did go to Brownwood for a quick visit, we won our football game on Friday night, and we have started a new week! Oh, I have started a new workout! It is called Crossfit...it is awesome and just my kind of workout. I can hardly sit down with out yelping, but it is worth it! Lovin it!
The next three days are filled with cookies and football. I have 2 bouquets and 30 cookies to make with a JV game tomorrow night and Varsity Thursday!! It is the TEMPLE BELTON game and it is a HUGE GAME! It will be on ESPNU if you would like to watch! Can't wait! Hopefully walking away 8-1!!!

6 months!

Thought that it would be fun to look at two picture that are about 6 months apart! He is so beautiful!
It has been a while since I have posted...haven't really sat down long enough to get on the computer. We have had a wonderful week! Jackson cut his first tooth on Tuesday. He cut the bottom right tooth and the left one is working its way out! Poor baby, he has been a little fussy and spitting up like crazy!

Wednesday was Peter's birthday. Of course the day went on as normal even though it was a special day...I think people should get off for their birthday!!!...but not sure what I can do about that! Jackson and I took him sonic on his break and then we went for a treat when he got home!

Thursday I had 2 cookie bouquets to make. They turned out super cute. I had one homecoming and one baby boy! The baby boy was my favorite; I made it with blue and brown icing! That evening I went and had dinner with Keegan at Fish City Grill. I had fish tacos and they were very good! Then Jackson and I went to the JV game. I was very glad that we made it to the game because it was a very good game!

Friday of course was Football!!! Before the game we went and had burgers at Five Guys...YUMMY! Then we headed to Cove! The boys played well even though we came up short! The final score was 0-10.

Saturday Peter had a busy day tyring to get ready for next weeks football game. Jackson and I rested at home during the morning and then got ready to go to Paige and Nathans Wedding. I now know why God did not create women to be single and raise children! Getting ready and driving to Brenham went wonderful...during the wedding he did well. We did have to get up toward the end and walk around. The reception is where it got tricky! I was starving...but so was Jackson. I got him settled in his stroller and got out his green beans and applesauce. I got him feed but could not leave him and go get food. I thought about pushing the stroller over, but there were so many people that I would have ran someone over! It looked so good...shrimp, lettuce, and tomato on yummy bread. We sat there a little while...I met another stay at home mom that has a 5 month old daughter. So we talked mommy talk which keep my mind off the food sitting behind me! Then, Paiges dad came over the mic and blessed the food...I thought he was blessing the sandwiches! BUT then I saw the plates that people were bring back! Oh my!!!! There was chicken with honey mustard, pork loin, salad, corn salad, potatoes, and rolls...ok you all know that I love food. I was sitting there thinking about what I was going to do and then it hit me! Jacksons sling was in the car so off I went to get it. I thought I can just put him in that and go through the line...I was very proud of myself. About the time I got back Tori had found me and took me over to the table with her family and held Jackson so that I could go get my plate and eat. Boy Howdy...I never thought about all of this...and you all know that I'm a planner and pre think through everything that I do! Not to worry, I did get to eat and it was AMAZING! Jackson got to play and see lots of new faces. I took my dessert to go and got coffee on the way home so that I could stay awake! So I had an oatmeal raisin cookie and coffee...that hit the spot as well!

We got home safely and have a new respect for single moms and let Peter know that his help is always appreciated!

We are now to Sunday...I made a big breakfast this morning and we went to church. We have relaxed and played with Jackson this afternoon. This evening we are meeting some friends for dinner...what Peter doesn't know is that there will be about 15-20 people there to say happy birthday and eat with us! I love birthdays! Will let everyone know how is goes and will have pictures to share from the fun!!!

BIG Win!!!

It was a very eventful weekend! Peter's parents and grandparents came to visit us to celebrates Peters birthday. Friday night was Belton Football. We won our 6th game, which makes us 6-0!!! And makes us #1 in the district!!! It was a cool night, but so worth it to watch the Belton Tigers play a great game!

Saturday we did a little bit of shopping and a lot of visiting! After Peter got off from work we went and had dinner at Dead Fish. It was supper yummy...Peter had his massive pork chop and ate every bit of it! Then we had coffee and pound cake with strawberries and whip cream!

Sunday we had a big breakfast. I made a breakfast casserole that I got out of a Southern Living and it was yummy...if I do say so myself! After the casserole we had to have a small piece of cake because it just goes with coffee! After family headed back home I decided that I was going to make a cookie bouquet! I had to run to Michael's to pick up a few things. I got home and made a BHS football bouquet...hoping to sell a few for homecoming!
Also, made a pot of potato soup. We had potato soup and hot ham and cheeses for dinner..YUM! I'm loving the cooler weather, because I love soup!

J is for Jackson

I'm happy to announce that I have Jackson's announcements complete! I took pictures yesterday morning (the two pics below are two that I didn't use), had those developed today, and will have everything ready to mail this evening! They turned out very cute, and I couldn't be happier with
them! The letters that I used in the pictures are the letters that Stephanie made for Jackson's room. As you can see I have not gotten those on the wall. There are no holes in the back so I
think I'm going toglue rope to them and hang them that way. Haven't quite decided, but if you have any suggestions I'm open for anything!
Jackson is in love with sweet potatoes!!! I made them on Monday and he had them for the first time yesterday. I'm afraid we are going to have a orange child if I'm not careful! And I'm not sure if I will ever get him to eat peas again since he has discovered something so much better! He is still teething...if those silly things would just come in! He is miserable. At least the last couple of days he has not been running fever. But he wants his passy a lot...which is different because normally he only wants it to sleep. I have to say though, I still get lots of smiles!!! I don't know what my day would be without Jackson smiles!
I started a new bible study called The Coach's Wife. It is very good and much needed. A coach's wife wrote it and in the study are lots of comments from other coach's wives. It is nice to know that I'm not the only one getting frustrated at things! I'm really working on the "time" issue, trying to realize that my complaining and pouting is not going to make it change! Make the best of every moment, that is what God has been reminding me! It has worked, the Lord has really blessed the time that Peter is home and we have a great time! It is so amazing what happens when you marry your best friend! Peter and I have stayed up way to late talking and laughing the last two night...but I'm so glad that I have a husband that enjoys my company and I enjoy his! Once again my heart is overflowing with joy...and standing in awe of the blessing of the Lord!
Well, off to fold laundry and to get those announcements ready for the mail!
What's for Dinner: Ranch Chicken, new potatoes, broccoli

Today has been an awesome day. A much needed day with my husband and son! Church this morning was great! Roddy Chang was there, he is a violinest that has played with Jars of Clay, Celine Deion, and Chania Twain. He is amazing; I enjoyed watching him and hearing his testemony. He started playing when he was 2 years old! I told Peter that Jackson could learn to play the violin...he gave me a strage look...but I did ensure him that he would play violin and football. I don't think that he was convinced!

After church we went to Cracker Barrel and had lunch with Tori and Colin. We are so blessed with such wonderful friends. We had a great time visiting and eating yummy food!

Well, it rained here again. It started last night and was still raining...or I should say pouring...when we left for church this morning! So because of all the rain the little creek that runs down from the apartments was running with about a foot of water. So we took Ella to play and boy did she have fun! She ran and chased her ball all through the water. Jackson ,as always, loved being outside. He played in the grass and got to put his legs in the water! Very thankful for a beautiful day!

Over the last couple of weeks I have been totally overwhelmed with the feeling of thankfulness. I find myself overwhelmed with emotion because of how blessed Peter and I are. My uncle called yesterday and was telling me how proud he was of Peter and I and the life that we have made for ourselves. My only responce was that we are so blessed and that God has been so faithful. My heart just overflows with joy! I can't even describe it in words! All I can do is PRAISE the Lord for his faithfulness and everything that he has provided for Peter and I!!!!
I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!

don't know how to get this extra picture off here! lol

Home Again Home Again

Well, we are home again! It was a long drive home...Jackson did not enjoy the drive today and he let me know about it!
Mom is doing much better today. She had a hard day yesterday, but I think the worst is behind her. Her progress over the next 2 days will determine if I will go back and help. Please continue to pray for a quick recovery!
Jackson and I are waiting for Daddy to get home! We are trying to be patient, but we are having a hard time! Oh my goodness, when Jackson and I got in the house there was a stink that about knocked me down! I could not figure out what was going on since I had taken the trash out before I left. So I searched the house for something dead but could find nothing. I finally went over to the trash lifted the lid and put it back on as quick as I could! I'm not sure what was in there and I did not take the time to see what it could have been. I just took it out as fast as I could! Man it was BAD!!!!
Looking forward to a family day tomorrow! Breakfast, a wonderful church service, lunch with Tori and Colin, and then a afternoon at home! Sundays are the BEST day of the week! Hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!

Jackson and I are in Brownwood taking care of Nonnie. The surgery went well...now we are on to the recovery! This morning we had oatmeal and then I made up a batch of Glorious Morning Muffins. Mom says she feels better than she thought she would...she is having a hard time not lifting Jackson!
Today's to do list consists of thank you notes from the funeral, getting Jackson's baby announcements out (yes I know that he is almost 6 months old, but better late than never!), take care of mom, cook dinner, work out, and take care of sweet Jackson! I love my life and continue to be extremely thankful for the opportunity to stay home.
Tigers play tonight! Both JV teams won last night, so Varsity is up next!!! We need a win! 5-0 here we come!
Its is a short post today, but off to get things done!

What's for dinner: Spaghetti and meatballs, salad, and rolls
